Dominic Lee Weaver

Well I woke up Sunday morning with Ross waking up to go to work, and thought I should get up too, so I took a quick shower before Eli woke up. I planned on doing Laundry that day and just realxing when Ross got home. Well around 7:13 a.m. I felt my first contraction. I was sitting on the couch and looking on the computer while Eli was just waking up watching Blue's Clues. I thought to myself, whoa now that is for sure different then anything that I have felt, but it wasnt anything super painful, so I thought if it is the start of something it will happen again. WELL sure enough 10 min. later there was another one. The contractions kept coming but weren't regular. One would be 10 min. later and then the next 12 min. later and just kept doing that. I just kept track of writing them down and continued my day as I planned. I ate breakfeast with Eli, and then got dinner in the crock pot. Started our laundry and cleaned up around the house a bit. They were getting a little more intense after a few hours, so I decided to give my mom's and Ross a phone call to give them a heads up on what going on and that today could be the day! Ross had about an hour and a half left of work and I told him to finish his day and just keep an eye on his phone just in case. Well I was still having my contractions, but still not regular when Ross did get home. So I decided to just eat lunch and let Eli take his nap like normal and we will see what happens. I layed Eli down for his nap and decided to try and see if I could take one myself. Well that didnt happen. At that point they where really starting to hurt and it was getting to the point where I had to breather through them. I decided shortly after that to give my on call doctor a call to tell them what was going on. They wanted me to come in to the hospital and get checked out. So I had already had most of our suitcase paked, so we decided we would leave after the Lions game, because Ross had to see the game.....lol. Plus I wasnt to concerend to wait a little bit longer. Well at 4:30 we were off to Lansing to go to the hospital, and see what they say. I got there and was checked. I was 4 cm and having my conrtactions every 7-10 min. apart. They said that they would check my in an hour and if I have progressed at all then I would 100% be admitted. Well an hour went by and I was at 5 cm. So it was determined then we would be staying and having a baby real soon!!! They moved me into my labor and deliverary room and my mom came to the hospital to get Eli and bring him back home. It was  an emotional good bye as I cried when Eli left. I was crying for happy reasons but knew it wouldnt be just Eli anymore.
Well I got my IV hooked up and not much longer after that I got the epidural! O how I said the first time around how I love that drug, but I have to say it again "O how I LOVE that drug". Not much longer after that My step mom, Mary, sisiter in-law Aimee, and friend Ashley got to the hosptial to be there for the birth. Then it was just waiting for more progress. I was checked a couple hours later to see if there was any progress and I was a 5-6 cm. So they decided to give me patocin to get my contractions closer together and hopefully the intensity of them would break my water. So as the patocin was doing its thing it was time to try to take a little nap. Ross and I dozed off for an hr and a half. The nurse came back in to check me and nope not much more progress, still the same. At this point it was 1:30 a.m. While she was checking me my water broke! YAY! I knew once that happened it wouldnt be long at all! Well and hour later I started feeling a lot of pressure with each contraction, so I was checked one more time. Sure enough I was 9-10 cm.! Wow that went fast! So preping for delivary began. 20-30 min. later I was saying I wanted to push. Long story short I pushed 6-8 times and at 3:12 a.m. Dominic was here! It was soo easy and great! I couldnt believe how fast it went! I pushed for an hour and a half with Eli and was praying it wouldnt be like that this time around. The pain wasnt anything like the first time around because my epidural never wore off like it did with Eli. So there he was our beautiful baby boy getting cleaned up. I cryed my eyes out of course! I couldnt believe it! He was really here. He looked soo much like his brother. They cleaned him up and did his measurements. He was 20 inches long, and 7 lbs. 2 oz.!! What a surprise that was. We had been expecting a big baby boy...lol. I look at him and think, wow he looks like Eli, but has his own looks at the same time. I think Dominic is going to look more like Ross than me. We will see though.
Eli came up that day with Grandma Peg to meet him for the first time. Now I was a little concerned on what to expect from him, but as soon as he came in he was in love with his brother. He didnt even want grandma Peg to hold Dominic, he had too....lol. He was in complete awww of him and just stared at him and touched his hands. It made my eyes water. We feel soo blessed and thankful for two beautiful/ healthy boys! Thank you Lord! Now I am resting and enoying my time at the hospital. I stay unitl tomorrow(wednesday) morning and then we will see how long it will be for a routine to set in with both boys at home.

Trying to be Patient!!!

Well today I am 38 weeks and 2 days and I am trying to be soo patient for the "big day"! Last night I thought maybe something might be starting, so I went to bed thinking that if it is the start of something I will be woken up eventually from more intense pain. WELL would it be the start of something.......NO! I know I am going to be meeting him soon and I just keep telling myself that to keep myself sane, but as some of you that have been in this exact situation its hard. There is a high possibility of being induced some time next week. But I dont want to set on that, just incase my docotor says no he is fine in there for another week. I highly doubt she would say that by the size they are thinking he is, but I dont want to get my hopes up and be even more disapointed. Another part of me wants it to start so bad because I want to go into labor naturally. Dont get me wrong, I wont be complaining if I had to be induced because if thats what we have to do then thats what we have to do. I have been cleaning the house and keeping up on laundry, and making sure the food is stocked up for atleast Eli in the house, just in case today could be "the day". Each day passes and nothing.

I am just getting really really anxious and I am praying that God lets this baby come out in the next few days!! I am basically writing this blog to vent a little. I know the day has got to come SOON, but I think thats what makes it that much harder because I know that and wonder if to day is the day. Hopefully not too much longer, as I keep telling myself EVERYDAY.....LOL. I have a doctors appt. Tuesday at 8:30 in the morning (if he hasnt come by then) and they are doing an ultrsound to see how big he is and I will find out that day if they are for sure going to induce me. So until Tuesday its a waiting game. So let the waiting begin!

Seriously I dont think my belly can get much bigger....lol.

Uncle Johns Cider Mill

We decided this fall to try out another cider mill. So off to Uncle Johns we went......with my mom, dad, and my borthers D, and Tryston. It was raining on and off that morning but I was determined to go and have a nice day at the cider mill!! I am very glad we went because we had a great time! They had a huge corn maze which would of been even more fun if it wouldnt have rained, but o well we made the best of it....lol.
Eli wanted to hold the umbrealla once it started to sprinkle.
Then after the corn maze we let Eli run around and play in the kids straw maze that they had. We then went to get apple cider and doughnuts because of the rain and it was delicious!! Eli LOVED the apple cider, but wanted nothing to do with the doughnuts. After a yummy snack Eli had seen a train and we all decided to get a ride, which he thought was very neat! Eli also did a little bit of fishing and won a football for cathcing a fish. Then right before we left we enjoyed a nice wagon ride. Once we came back from the cider mill Eli and Tryston carved pumpkins.

Eli wanted nothing to do with the guts of the pumkin. Once he looked inside he said "ewwwwwww"........lol.

A Day in the leaves!

Well Ross and I got Eli a rake for helping us rake leaves in the yard. He really enjoyed helping but most of all he enjoyed playing in the leaves, especially when I had a good pile set up for him to jump into. I really love the fall season and it was such a great day for taking Eli out to play and get some good pictures! So we took advantage and went out to rake the front yard, and play outside.

Decided to give it a try!

I got thinking the other day how cool it would be to start a blog about my family. I thought it would be very neat for family and friends to be able to be updated with stories and photos of us and the boys as they are growing. Eli is at that age where he is saying the funniest things and doing the funniest things! So I thought what a perefect time to start. He sure is growing like a weed and getting so big! We just started the whole potty training thing this past week and its going pretty good. Some days he is totally into it and other days really has no intrest, but hey its a start.
I have 5 more weeks left till my due date, but I have a good gut feeling this little one is going to come early. We will see. I am getting very anxious to meet him and for him to get here. I have been feeling pretty well, considering how towards the end you start to feel all those aches and pains...lol. Not too much longer! Eli is really talking about his baby brother a lot. Now we will see here soon what he really thinks of him.
Ross has been busy with work, but other then getting ready for our new arrival, we have been taking it easy and enjoying our time with family and friends!

Eli wanted me to take a picture of him so he was really good about giving me a smile for this one. (2 years old)
