Well I made another cake.....this time it was not only different on the outside but also on the inside. It was a chocolate cake with peanut butter filling. It was soo tastey, but not a huge fan of fondant. It isnt so much the taste its the texture. It is chewy if you have never had it before. But it is a lot of fun to work with and use for decorating. It was my mother in-laws birthday on the 8th so I thought I would make her a cake when we went to there place this past week! I had so much fun making it! I cant wait to make another one!

My New Hobby!
Well I have found a new hobby!! Making cakes!! I have always had a intrest for this and thought it was always cool/would be cool to do. So back in high school my grandma got me a little starter kit. It had tips, bags and some food coloring. But this christams my mother in law got me a TON of awesome cake supplies. So I have an actual kit and I can slowly add more too it! Ever since getting all of it, I have been itching to make a cake! Well its a little hard to find the time when you have a 2 1/2 year old and a 2 month old. But I thought yesterday (Sunday) would be a good day to do it cause Ross was home. Well I found out how time consuming it actually is to make a cake. I learned that I sould make the cake one day and frost it the next. I would love to do this full time once all the kids are in school full time. I will have to take some classes, but I would love it!!! Here are some pictures of the very first cake I made. Yes there are things I need to improve, but I am pretty proud of it considering that Dominic was strapped to me for most of it....lol.
The cake cooling off so I can level it and crumb coat it. It is a golden vanialla cake.
I leveled it and cut it in half to put frosting in the middle and started to crumb coat it.
The finished product!
And again!

Soo busy!
Wow its amazing how much work it is when you have two kids. It is quiet the adjustment. I dont have time for myself at all! My alone time is a shower....lol. But I am not complaining. I love it. I know it will get easier once Dominic learns to sleep on his own in his crib instead of on me. That explains why I havent been on the computer much....lol. But I figured I better update my blog! Its been a long time since my last one.
We had a wonderful holiday. We were all sick over chirstmas with a bad cold, but we enjoyed it as much as we could. New Years was better because we all felt better. We were all blessed with many gifts from mom's and dad's/ grandma's and grandpa's and were also blessed to see everyone.
Dominic is growing like crazy! Its amazing how much growing they do! 2 weeks ago he weighed 11 lbs.!! He goes in for his 2 month appointment next Friday the 14th. It will be interesting to see how much weight he has gained inbetween that time. He is really becoming a heartbreaker with his smile! It is the best thing to see! I cant believe he will be 2 months old on Saturday!
Elijah is really becoming a character. He says the funniest things latley! One story is........last week we made a trip to Meijers because we had some gift cards from x-mas and I ended up finding a winter coat on clearance for Eli. So I wanted to try it on him in the store, but he wasnt having it. So I got it anyways and when we got home he was sitting on Ross' lap and I start talking to Eli about his new coat and he puts his hand up and says "Whatever momma." LOL...I couldnt believe it. I busted out laughing. Thats just one of many stories.
We are heading to WI the 15th to my in-laws and staying for 4 days. Cant wait to go. Eli is excited to go to Grandpa nad Grandmas house. Ross has that week off of work so once we come back he is go to start remodling our bathroom upstairs! Cant wait to see the finished product!
Hut, hut, hut.......His new Michigan State Uniform he got from Grandpa and Grandma Sloan for Christmas. He LOVES football.
Giving me his morning smiles :) There is part of a smile. 8 1/2 weeks old.
